This junction is none other than Allah's treasure of treasures. See the surah of Hijr verse (15:21), which is filled with profound wisdom: "And there is not a thing but its treasures are with Us, and We do not send it down but in a known measure."
Ta'wili purport: This noble verse begins with the particle 'in', which is equal to 'la', which is the particle of negation. It indicates that everything in the beginning is 'la', that is, the world of non-existence. The example of 'la' or the world of non-existence is the world of ibda`, where everything comes into existence from non-existence.
Here the treasure of the Word kun (Be!) works automatically bringing into existence a thing from a non-thing. Thus, it is evident that the first junction is that of non-existence and existence. The confluence of spiritual and material science is in the personal world. God willing, we will explain this further in the following pages.
