Part 60
In the name of God, the most Compassionate, the most Merciful
Bala budi manand-i khwur Rawshan zi nurat sad qamar
Zir amadi ay shah-i jan ba har gada dar sakhti11
(O my spiritual beloved!) Like the sun in the heaven you illumined hundreds of moons
(O spiritual king!) You came down to earth and started to mingle with every pauper.
Zir amadi ay shah-i jan ba har gada dar sakhti11

There is an extremely beautiful wisdom in this verse of Mawla-yi Rum:
Ay Shah-i shahan-i jahan Allahu Mawlana `Ali
Ay nur-i chashm-i `ashiqan Allahu Mawlana `Ali
Hamd ast guftan nam-i tu ay nur-i farrukh nam-i tu
Khwurshid-u mah hindu-yi tu Allahu Mawlana `Ali12
Ay nur-i chashm-i `ashiqan Allahu Mawlana `Ali
Hamd ast guftan nam-i tu ay nur-i farrukh nam-i tu
Khwurshid-u mah hindu-yi tu Allahu Mawlana `Ali12
O the true King of kings of the world [and religion] Allahu Mawlana `Ali
O the light of the heart and soul of the lovers of light, Allahu Mawlana `Ali
To utter your sacred name is to praise God,
O you whose name is blessed, [and]
The sun and the moon are your slaves, Allahu Mawlana `Ali
O the light of the heart and soul of the lovers of light, Allahu Mawlana `Ali
To utter your sacred name is to praise God,
O you whose name is blessed, [and]
The sun and the moon are your slaves, Allahu Mawlana `Ali
