The holy Prophet said: "The foremost ones (as-subbaq) are three: Yushi` bin Nun, who preceded others in responding to [the da`wah of] Musa; Sahibu [or mu'minu Al-i] Ya-Sin (i.e. the companion of or believer in the progeny of Ya-Sin, i.e. the holy Prophet Muhammad) who preceded others in responding to [the da`wah of] `Isa and `Ali bin Abi Talib, who preceded others in responding to [the da`wah of] Muhammad."

The holy Prophet said: "The truthful ones (as-siddiqun) are three: Habib, the carpenter, the mu'min of the family of Ya-Sin who said: "O my people, follow the messengers" (Qur'an 36:20); Hizqil , the mu'min of Fir`awn's family, who said: "Do you kill a man because he says: My Lord is Allah" (Qur'an 40:28) and `Ali bin Abi Talib, who is superior to them."
