In the light of the preceding proofs, if we accept that the circle of patience is confined to the Prophet, the Imam and to mu mins, then in other words of the Qur'an, this means hizbu'llah (5:56) the army of God (i.e. the group of mu mins). Thus that patience of God is within His army and its sway continues over them. This Divine army with all its faculties of knowledge and actions, is constantly fighting against the army of Satan (hizbu'sh-shaytan) (58:19). The powerful part of this war is in spirituality and the most fierce fighting during the luminous 'ibadat and the diligent way in which a mu min should take a lesson of patience in daily life, is also a preparation for this great war, so that by it and 'ibadat, God's miraculous help may be received. For according to the Qur'an, patience and 'ibadat are the two prerequisites of Divine help and open victory. In short, the main demonstration of patience is in the minor jihad and the major jihad. However, nowadays, it is only the major jihad which has to be fought.

Studies in Spiritualism and Dreams 27

There are two places in the Wise Qur’ᾱn (5:56; 58:22) where a mu’min with insight can come to know what kind of virtues mu’mins should have in order to attain the grace of spirituality and the light of Divine help and ahat kind of great sacrifice mu’mins of the past had offered in order to attain this supreme purpose. These two places make one subject matter which is related to the “Party of Allah (Hizbu ’llah).” In it the party of Allah is considered only those true mu ‘mins who love and have friendship only with God, the Prophet, the sᾱhib-i-amr (the Lord of command) and true mu ‘mins.

Proof 11: it is said in verse (5:56): “ And he who befriends Allah and His Messenger and those who believe, join Allah’s army. Lo! Allah’s army, they are the victorious,” This verse presents the concept to the people of intellect and wisdom that externally and internally in this world, the battle between truth and falsehood, namely Islam and disbelief, will always continue and the truth will be victorious and falsehood defeated everytime. And its result will be seen on that day which Allah has promised. Thus wisdom lies in befriending Allah, the prophet, the ulu’l-amr and mu’mins.
