Thus, according to the people of wisdom, it is fact that in some of Quraanic verse Imam is called the Book and the book is called the Imam, because the Imam is an actual book and the book is a potential imam, like a tree and its seed. In a tree the seed is actually visible and the tree is potentially hidden in a seed, as mentioned in a Quraan; ”Is he then (like unto him)who has a clear proof from his Lord and a witness from Him, follows him –who is preceded by the Book of Musa-a guide and mercy? (17:11). in this verse by “…who has a clear proof” is meant the Holy Prophet, and by “a witness from Him, follows him” is meant Mawlana Ali.
