Warid (1) (One who goes down, one who goes down to hell)

It is said in a Hadith: "No one will remain, pious or impious, but will enter it (hell), but for the mu'min it will be cool and peace as it was made for Ibrahim." (Ahadith-i Mathnawi, p.187; al-Mustadrak, IV, 630). This Hadith is the exegesis of verse (19:71) in which it is mentioned that everyone, whether good or bad, has to enter hell. I have also discussed this subject in "Siraju'l-qulub" under the caption "A secret of hell".

Warid (2) (One who goes down, one who goes down to hell)

It is said in verses (19:71-72): "There is not one of you but shall go down into it; this is a decisive decree of your Lord. Then We shall deliver those who fear God (in this world), and leave the unjust therein fallen on their knees."

Thousand Wisdoms 914 (477)

After being questioned about the errors, forgetfulness and false steps which human beings take in the limited scope of the partial powers given to them, it has been decreed and determined by God that all of them, as an expediency, will go down to hell. As He says: “Not one of you there is, but he shall go down to it; that for your Lord is a thing decreed, determined” (19:71). It is evident from this that all have to go to hell once as a necessity and expediency. Then they will come out of it, one after the other, according to their good or bad deeds. That is, when God addressing all of humankind, good or bad, without the discrimination of deeds, says that it has been decreed and determined that they have to go down to hell, then it is certain that they have to come out of it too. For, when it is not possible for those who have committed venial sins to remain in hell after having minor punishment, then (by the same principle) it is also not possible for those who have committed mortal sins to remain there after having had severe punishment.

Part 38

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

It is said in a hadith: “Many people will come to the gates of paradise and say: Did not our Lord promise that we would cross the fire [of hell] (19:71). They will be told: You crossed it while it was dying”.30

Thus, the Benevolent Lord has amazing kinds of mercies and wisdoms for the sake of the salvation of the world of humanity. God says in a sacred hadth: “The people are My household”.31

Although Allah’s anger (ghadab) is mentioned in the wise Qur’an, there is none among His attributive names that has the meaning of anger. In the light of knowledge, wisdom and macrifat, I can tell you that every attributive name of Allah implies the meaning of elevating the world of humanity to the sacred Sanctuary. God willing, we will present some examples of this.
