al-Bayt al-^catiq (Ancient house, the Ka^cbah, the rank of the Imam)

See verse (22:29): "Then let them cleanse themselves of the dirt and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the ancient House." Baytu'l-^catiq or the ancient House is the Ka^cbah which, in this world, is the first place and the house which was built by Hazrat Adam for the worship of God. This is a mithal and its mamthul is the Imam of the time.
