29:57
In the verse: "Every soul has to taste of death. Then unto Us you will be returned" (29:57), in reality, is mentioned the death of animal soul (nafsani mawt), and particularly that miraculous death which occurs sometime after the spiritual birth, which is full of marvels and wonders, the result of which is to return to God.
It is said in verse (29:57): "Every soul has to taste death, then to Us you shall be brought back." The wisdom- filled allusion of this verse is that it is not physical death, but only spiritual death which has an extremely wonderful taste and a comprehensive experience and returning back to God also is a result of this death. In reality this event happens to the Single Soul (31:28) and all the rest of the people are in his personal world in the form of particles so that they may represent the world of particles in all the examples of spirituality and Resurrection. Thus to a perfect arif spiritual death is like a practical book of miracles, observations, realities and recognitions.
The wise Qur'an vehemently rejects that anyone can live without tasting death (29:57), or that one can live forever physically (21:34), how then is it possible for Hazrat-i Khizr, Hazrat-i-Isa or anybody else to live forever physically?
