34:10
Mountain has many ta'wlis. One is the light of Intellect, the other hujjat, the third solidified soul and the fourth ls the human head. As it is said about Hazrat Dawud: "And assuredly We gave Dawud grace from Us, (saying): O ye hills and birds, echo his psalms of praise I" (34:10). That is, when Hazrat Dawud was doing the hidden and open dhikr, then the bones of his head and the particles of his soul were singing in harmony with him.
Hadid (Iron, sharp, keen)
Cold iron is very hard and nothing can be made from it, but God made it supple like kneaded flour for Hazrat Imam Dawud (34:10). This is a clear proof that God has granted the Imam the miracle of spirituality.
It is said in verses (34:10-11): “Verily We gave David grace from Us [saying]: O mountains and birds recite tasbih with him and We made the iron soft for him. [Saying] make coats of mail and measure their links properly, and do good deeds. Verily I see whatever you do.”
Ta’wili purport: These miracles were granted to Prophet David by the Lord of the spiritual resurrection. The recitation of tasbih by the mountains and the birds is in the sur of Israfil in the state of the world of particles. Iron is the light of qa’im and his knowledge, which is extremely difficult and which was made easy for Prophet David by the Lord of resurrection.
