A question arises here: Who are those angels? Personal or cosmic? Are they in the world of particles or in the world of ibda? Potential or actual? Heavenly or earthly? Also, was what they said, said by the tongue of speech, or by circumstantial language? Was it said by all of them or some of them?

Answer: "Renewal of similitude" is a wisdom-filled term and a key law, in the light of which many realities and recognitions can be discovered. Thus, God renews the universe in the personal world of every Adam and this is a practical exegesis of verse (55:29): "Every day He is in a (new) mode." The sense of the whole verse is that all those who are in the heavens and the earth, turn to Him to solicit His great favours and whenever God wills, He bestows vicegerency and the kingdom of the universes. Thus, everyday (i.e. in every cycle) He is in a new mode and glory.

Spring Of knowledge 44

Now with recourse to the holy Qur’an time and again, we will try to explain the human soul. Soul is the most amazing and most incomparable thing in God's Godhead. The greatest wonder of soul is that, at its supreme rank, it acts as the mirror of Divine beauty and majesty, in which the reflection of the blessed Divine attributes have a new mode in every moment. This infinite chain of the Divine manifestations and theophanies is mentioned in the wise Qur’an as: “Every day He is in a mode (manifestation)” (55:29). Among the various exegeses of this noble verse, there is also a sufic exegesis, that among the days of God, the Omnipotent, there are the shortest as well as the longest days. This is because of the fact that it is God Himself Who enfolds and unfolds temporal and spatial distances. Thus, one of the several meanings of this sacred verse is that the luminous manifestation, which is observed in the mirror of soul, shines every moment with a different beauty. After all, what are these Divine manifestations and theophanies in the mirror of the heart and the soul? And why? They are the countless similes and similitudes of the Reality of the realities.

"Khalqu'llah" is the name of that supreme circle upon which are all the things and all the states through which man passes constantly and it is the circle of his endless progress (taraqqi), or it can be said that, it is even greater than progress, because the latter gives the meaning of climbing a mountain or the rungs of a ladder, which has the limited concept of man being trapped in a low place from which he has to escape. This is not an important thing, the important thing is that for a true mu'min there is always a new glory.

It is mentioned in verse (55:29): "Every day He is in a (new) glory (with respect to creatures)". Within the sun and its surroundings there is neither cloud, nor rain, no change of seasons, no alteration of day and night, no mountain or jungle, no spring, stream, rivulet, river, no garden, orchard, no beasts or birds, nor human beings, but everything which comes into existence by its blessings is on the earth. This example makes it clear that the mazhar (locus of manifestation) of the Divine attributes is man, particularly the Perfect Man.
