58:12
The word sadaqah is derived from sidq (truth), which is one of the names of Intellect, sadaqah in external world is the zakat of wealth and in internal, that of Intellect and knowledge, as it is said in the Holy Qur'an: "0 ye who believe! When you hold a private conversation (najwa) with the Messenger, then offer some sadaqah before it" (58:12). Whether it is sadaqah or zakat, giving and taking of it is the act of hand. Therefore, it is said: Attain the place of Intellect, so that, there, before holding private conversation with the Divine Word (kallmah-i baril), you may be able to offer the sadaqah of the Intellect.
Q348 It is written in verse (58:21): “God has decreed: It is I and My Messengers [who] will most certainly prevail.” About which battle is this decree of God? When will God and His Messengers prevail over satan and his army?

- This is the battle, which is fought against satan and his army.
- Several spiritual battles, namely resurrections took place in the cycle of every natiq and each time God, the lord of the cycle (natiq), the Imam and the mu’mins are victorious.

- It is in the surah of Mujadilah (She that disputes, 58).
- The verse (58:12) is: “O you who believe! When you [wish to] confer with the Messenger in private, offer sadaqah before you go to confer. This is better for and purer …”.
- There may indeed be a great secret in this sacred farman of God, but other than Hazrat cAli(c), nobody acted upon it, because the sadaqah used to appear to be heavy (58:13). I believe that the purpose of a private meeting or discourse with the Messenger can also be the secret of the supreme Name.
- For, the chosen words “This is better for you and purer” have very far-reaching meanings.
