66:11

God has mentioned the event of the wife of the Pharoah, Asiya, as a parable, that she prayed: "My Lord! Build for me a home with Thee in Thy neighborhood in the Paradise..." (66:11). This concept is highly thought provocative, that, in Paradise some or all of the people will be the neighbors of God and God will be their neighbor. And this is true, by all means, otherwise this prayer of Asiyah could not have been Included in the constituent parts of the law of the Qur'an. Yet a wise person, despite accepting these words, can ask this question: How is it possible that God may be the neighbor of all? The answer to this question is, that this is not a physical concept, it is an Intellectual matter, and in the personal paradise of the Intellect, every greatest bounty can be received. And this concept is extremely useful that, as everybody has a personal world in his batin (heart, mind), in the same way, he will have a personal world in paradise.

In the Glorious Qur'an, special importance is given to the word "lu'lu' (pearl)" and this has been used as an example of an example. This word is mentioned six times in the Qur'an, also once the word durry (durr+y) (24:35) and nine times, bilyah (ornaments). Lu'lu' and durr both mean pearl. It also means precious stone. Although pearls are created in the depths of the ocean and precious stones in the heart of the mountains, but in many senses, they are one thing and different forms of one essence (jawhar-dhat).

According to one Tradition, God created the true religion on the pattern of this external world. Just as there are treasures in this world, there are the treasures of Allah In the world of religion, and In those treasures are hidden the extremely unique precious stones of God and these precious stones are those of the light of Intellect and knowledge and gnosis and spirit and spirituality.

Q.16. According to verse (66:11) the wife of Pharoah is mentioned not only as a mu’minah (believer) but she is also mentioned in the rank of Hazrat Mrayam. Would you kindly explain the ta’wilic wisdim of this verse?
Ans.16. Regarding Pharoah’s wife, the Qur’an says: “My Lord! Build for me a home with You in Paradise”(66:11). This prayer is based on several higher wisdoms. One of them is that there is the concept of the vision of God, His extreme closeness and presence in it. The second is that the building and creation of Paradise is mentioned in this verse. This shows that she had recognized God and Paradise, otherwise she would not have prayed in this manner. Had her prayer not been in accordance with the wisdom of the Qur’an it would not have been presented in this way in this verse of it would have been presented as a falsehood. But this is not so, and therefore it is evident that the wife of Pharoah was among the people of marifat.

Jiran Allah (The neighbours of Allah)

Verse (66:11) says: "When (the wife of Pharoah) said: O my Lord, build for me a house near You in paradise." The ta'wil of this verse is that she was yearning for the rank of annihilation in God and the truth of certainty, so that she may be among the neighbours of God.

Q63 Regarding Pharaoh’s wife, it is said in verse (66:11): “And Allah cites an example for those who believe, the wife of Pharaoh when she said: My Lord! Build for me a home with You in paradise, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and deliver me from the evil-doing people.” The question here is whether this is a spatial and collective paradise where God has a physical house, in which case countless other mu’min men and women would have requested God to grant them the supreme honour of His neighbourhood, or is it related to ta’wil?

A63 The example of paradise is the personal world, which is an individual as well as a collective paradise. It is spatial from one side and non-spatial from the other. Mu’min men and women not only attain a home near God in the personal world, but they also attain the supreme bliss of living together with Him (in His house) by being merged in Him. This is the ta’wili allusion of the above-mentioned verse.
