95:1

There are certain secrets hidden in those things by which God has sworn in the wise Qur’an, such as, the fig and the olive (95:1). Several secrets are hidden in this verse. One of them is that two treasures of health are hidden in the fruit of fig and in the oil of olive.

Book of Healing (125)

Part 9

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Study verses (95:1-8) with intellect and knowledge and reflect upon them. Here God swears by the Universal Intellect, the Universal Soul, the natiq and the asas, and says: “Indeed, We created man in the best taqwim (ahsani taqwim)”. Taqwim means constitution, order, arrangement or ladder. That is, with respect to spiritual creation and completion, a human being himself is the evolving or gradational ladder of the personal world.

The personal world has a roof, which in Arabic is called carsh (pl. curush, 2:259). It is also called saqf, which is guarded (21:32). This guarded roof is the heaven or sacred Sanctuary of the personal world. That is, the sacred Sanctuary is guarded forever. The sacred Sanctuary thus, is the heaven, the throne and the guarded roof of the personal world.

The gist of the surah of Tin (95) is that the spiritual creation and completion of human beings progresses step by step to its ultimate in the sacred Sanctuary and human beings, like their father Adam, are created in the image of the Compassionate. This is the complement of God’s oath.

Praise belongs to God, for His munificence and favours!

The Wise Qur’an and the World of Humanity (14)

Study suratu’t-Tin (95:1-8) and after understanding the literal meaning, see the Wajh-i Din for its fundamental ta’wil. The example of the four roots of religion – Universal Intellect, Universal Soul, natiq and asas exists in the sacred Sanctuary, where the junction of the pearl of Intellect and the hidden Book is the example of the Universal Intellect and the Universal Soul and that of natiq and asas as well.

The batini ta’wil in this wisdom-filled surah is that the excellent way in which God, may He be exalted, has created Adam and his children on the ladder of the spiritual resurrection is indeed unique, as there is the diversity of wisdoms in it. God, the One, the Subduer has created Adam and his children simultaneously by the spiritual resurrection (7:11).
