Part 33

Tags: `Ali-abad, Egypt, Jama`at-khanah, Sacred Sanctuary

By the Name of Allah, the most Compassionate, the most Merciful.

We call the personal world '`Ali-abad'. Surah-yi Yunus says: "And We revealed to Moses and his brother: 'Provide a few houses for your people in Egypt, and make your houses the direction of prayer." (10:87).

Ta'wili purport: And We alluded to Musa (a.s) and to his brother (Harun (a.s)) to provide some houses to their community in Egypt, i.e., in the personal world (`Ali-abad) and to declare them the direction of prayer (qiblah), i.e., make them God's house through spiritual progress.

It is evident from here that in the Ismaili religion a Jama`at-khanah can only be built with the holy permission of the Imam of the time and if it is done in the true sense then the Imam of the time rewards by granting an internal Jama`at-khanah in the forehead of the personal world (`Ali-abad), which is also called the Sacred Sanctuary (hazirah-yi qudus).
