Gems of Qur'anic Knowledge and Wisdom - Part 52
Part 52
Tags: Hazrat `Ali
By the Name of Allah, the most Compassionate, the most Merciful.
It is said in surah-yi Ra`d: "(O messenger!) And the unbelievers say: 'You are not a messenger.' Say: 'Allah is sufficient as a witness (of my Prophethood) between me and you and the one who has knowledge of the (heavenly) book (i.e., `Ali)'." (13:43).
The reality becomes clearly evident from the above blessed verse that `Ali (a.s) had all the knowledge of the Qur'an just like God, because `Ali (a.s) was the likeness (mithl) of God (42:11).
We have faith in the Hadith-i Qudsi, the initial sense of which is: "O son of Adam! Obey Me truly so that I will make you like Myself (mithli)". Thus God had certainly made `Ali (a.s) His likeness (mithl) and there is nothing like this likeness (mithl) of God (42:11).
In this verse note meticulously that it mentions 'like (ka)' and 'likeness (mithl)'.
