By the Name of Allah, the most Compassionate, the most Merciful.

The true obedience of the Imam of the time and the spiritual resurrection is the ladder of salvation (sullamu'n-najat = mi`raj-i najat). Qur'an emphasizes the reality that only al-Wahid al-Qahhar (the One/Unifier, the Subduer) is single, who created everything in pairs (36:36) and according to this law there is the confluence of great secrets.

Thus the ascents (mi`raj) of prophets are also in pairs, one is called heavenly ascent (mi`raj-i samawi) and the other earthly ascent (mi`raj-i arzi). It means that the first mi`raj takes place in the heavens of the Sacred Sanctuary and the second on the earth. Thus the ta'wili mention of both the ascents of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah send blessings and peace through him and his progeny) is present together in surah-yi Najm (53:1-18).
