Prophetic Medicine - Confluence of the Two Oceans:
The science of names (ilmu'l-asma) which God had taught Hazrat Adam in the luminosity of the Supreme Name was in fact the "science of the realities of things", which is mentioned in verse (2:31). Because the real name of a thing is that which God has given it and which is its characteristic and reality and for which it is created separate from other things. There is no doubt that this knowledge of Hazrat Adam, comprising all the things of the universe, is the fountainhead of all sciences, from which came into being the branch of material science also. The brightest proof of this fact is Prophetic medicine, which as a branch of his "Universal knowledge", is in the form of medical science in which externally is the cure of body, but internally the cure of the soul and the intellect. Therefore, we can say that the Prophetic medicine is like the confluence of two oceans.

Asma (Names, blessed names of God)

It is mentioned in the Qur'anic story of Hazrat Adam in verse (2:31): "And He (God) taught all (His great) names to Adam." The blessed personality of the holy Imam is the key supreme Name of God adorned with all His exalted attributes. In three places of the Qur'an there is the wisdom-filled mention of the asma’u’l-husna. Thus, the Imam of the time taught Hazrat Adam his representative supreme Name in which all other beautiful names were hidden.

Allama (1) (He taught)

It is said in verse (2:31): "And He taught Adam the (beautiful) names, all of them." First of all, He granted him one ism-i azam for the hidden dhikr or the dhikr of the heart, and at its completion appeared other names, and their named ones as well. The named ones (musammiyan), were the Imams. Because when it is said that the Imam of the time is the living ism-i azam of God, it means that he is not only the name (ism), but also the named one (musamma).

Allama (4) (He taught)

God granted Hazrat Adam the recognition of every name and its named one, i.e. the person whose name it was. Then these named ones were brought in front of the angels and God said: "Tell Me the names of these if you are truthful." (2:31). Every name and named one is in the manifest Imam, and hence all recognitions are gathered in his luminous recognition.

Allama (5) (He taught)

In verse (2:31) God says: "And He taught Adam the names, all of them." That is, He taught him the ism-i azam and the beautiful names, which were the treasures of the knowledge of the realities of things. That is, the knowledge of the reality of everything started from here. You can call this knowledge of Adam the foundation of spiritual and material science potentially, because science is among the knowledge of the realities of things.
