3:45
Q.9. A study of the order of attributes on the pure life of the Prophets on the Qur’an, shows that the word “salihin” (the righteous ones) sometimes comes at the end of the verse as in verse (3:45). What is the wisdom and secret hidden in this? Ans.9. In this world, from the very beginning right up to the present time, the struggle between the army of Satan and the army of God continues. The army of Satan is in two forms: the subtle and the dense. In Qur’anic language those who are in the subtle body are riders and those in the dense body are on foot (17:64). Similarly, the army of God, in countless numbers, is also in both the subtle body and the dense body. The army in the subtle body is called the army of heaven and the army in the dense body is called the army of the earth (48:7). Thus where the word “salihin” is mentioned in this way, it refers to the army of God in the subtle body. That is, the Prophets and the Awlia or Friends of God in the subtle body are called salihin and they are in the heavenly army of God (58:21).
Q.7. In the verse (3:45): “When the angles said: Oh Maryam! Lo! Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word (kalimah) from Him, whose name is the Masih, Isa, son of Maryam, wajih (illustrious) in the world and the Hereafter, and one of the muqarrabin (those brought near unto God)”. In what sense is Hazrat Isa a kalimah or Word? What is the taw’wil of Masih? What is the allusion in the word wajih? What is the definition or limit of muqarrabin? A.7. Hazrat Isa was a word from the special presence of God, in the sense that the light of prophethood and imamat is not only in the personality, like a tree, but also in the great names (asma-i-izam) and the perfect Words (kalimat-i tammat), like the fruit. Masih literally means someone who strokes or rubs with the hand. In tawil, Masih means the ibdai body and its ever-reaching miracle. Wajih means the source of marifat. Muqarrah means extremely close to and merged in Allah. -
According to spiritual science, there are five special methods of healing:
(a) Healing by the Qur’an, i.e. Qur’anic healing which is being discussed in this book.
(b) Healing through knowledge, because most, rather almost all spiritual diseases are caused by the absence of intellect and knowledge, namely, ignorance.
(c) Healing through dhikr (remembrance of God), for due to the negligence of the remembrance of God, Satan gets a chance to do his work in the human heart and sows the seeds (germs) of one or the other disease in it.
(d) Healing through voice, this is because of the fact that every disease has a living soul. Voice, by the command of God, by putting pressure on it, can compel it to leave the body.
(e) Healing through touch, the benefit of which is that if the one who touches the patient is very pious, a perfect darwish, a real sufi and is full of subtle particles, then God willing, some of these particles transfer to the patient through his touch, and can kill the germs of disease or put them to flight. It was this method of healing which Hazrat `Isa used to practise and it was in this sense that he was called Masih or Messiah, i.e. the one who cures by the touch of the hand (3:45). This name is mentioned in eleven places of the glorious Qur’an.
This is a reference to the Qur’anic verse (3:45): “O Maryam! Surely Allah gives you good news with a word from Him (bi-kalimatin minh)”, which establishes that the Holy Prophet and the Imam of the time are the Qur’an-inatiq or the “Speaking Qur’an”.
Ba-san-I tayr-I abadit lashkari ki hami
Bi-yuftad guhari zu ba-jay har hajarat
The flocks of birds (which had pelted the owners of the elephants with stones) will come And from each of their stones will fall a pearl (105:3-4)
Part 66
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Hazrat Jesus was the living supreme Name (kalimah or Word) of God in his time (3:45; 4:171). Further, by “A Word from Him” is meant the supreme Name. In the beginning of the Gospel of John it is said: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God [i.e. the supreme Name was linked with God], and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it”.68
Q505 In the wise Qur’an the complete name of Hazrat Isa in verse (3:45) is “al-Masihu Isa ibnu Maryam”. The word al-Masih is mentioned in eleven different places of the Qur’an and it was granted by Allah. Please tell us its meanings.

- Scholars hold different opinions in this connection. Nonetheless, it is true that when Hazrat Isa touched the lepers they were cured, and thus he is called al-Masih, i.e. the one who touches.
- Hazrat Isa al-Masih was the living supreme Name of Allah in his time, and according to the dua’-yi nur (the prayer of light), waves of light were running in his personality. Thus, if spiritual diseases have been cured by the luminous currents of the natiq, the asas and the Imam, why should one be surprised by him curing the lepers!
