9:105
Wisdom 36: It is said in verse (9:105): "And said: Work: Soon will God observe your work and His Messenger and the mu 'mins." According to Imam Jacfar as-Sadiq, here by mu'mins are meant the Imams. (Daa'imu'l-Islam, I. p. 21).
God says in verse (9:119): "O you who believe! Fear God and be with those who are truthful (sadiqin)". Study this verse very carefully: on the one side are all those who believe and on the other, are the truthful ones who are the Imams from the progeny of the Prophet, as Imam Jafar as-Sadiq says: "We are the truthful ones". In such cases, the Holy Qur'an commands that the people of faith should fear God and follow the truthful ones and be with them in knowledge and good deeds.
Old and New: an individual’s desires or wishes have two directions. One is towards the past and the other to the future. He desires to see not only new discoveries but also to know of old events. This alludes to the fact that the movement of light is circular. The place at which it rises revolves so that it also sets there. Thus one of the bounties of Paradise is that mu’mins will be able to observe the living history of the nations of the world (9:105; 39:20; 50:35). For the purpose of the windows of the palaces of Paradise is to be able to observe through them the world of Intellect, the world of Soul and the past and the future of the physical world.
Shuhada' (Witnesses)
It is said in verse (9:105): "And (O Prophet) say: Act, Allah beholds your deeds, and His Messengers and the believers (mu’minun)." According to Imam Muhammad al-Baqir, by the mu'minun are meant the Imams who guide the people (Daca'im, I, 21).
