11:90
Wadod (He who loves abundantly)
God says in verse (11:90): "Verily, my Lord is Merciful, Loving." It is on the level of intellect that one becomes sure of how intensely God loves His friends and what kind of favours He confers upon them.
One prominent name among the attributive names of God which means friendship and love, is wadῡd, as the Qur’ᾱn says: “And ask forgiveness of your Lord and turn repentant to him; verily my Lord is merciful, loving. (11:90) Another verse in this regard is: “And who is better in religion then he who resigns himself entirely to Allah while doing good (to men) and follows the tradition of Ibrahim, as an upright one? (4:125)
The exoteric and esoteric aspects of the Glorious Qur'an contain the explanation of everything, and every important subject is spread throughout it. The reason for this is that such subjects are related to the attributive names of God, for example, the subject of affection and love is related to His name wadud (He who loves abundantly, 11:90; 85:14). Now, this name by itself and also together with other names is in the meanings of the entire Qur'an. Thus, we can say that there is no verse in the Wise Qur'an which is devoid of the mention of heavenly love or a secret related to it.
