Part 78

In the name of God, the most Compassionate, the most Merciful

It is said in verse (11:90): "And ask forgiveness of your Lord and tum to Him. Verily my Lord is merciful, loving (wadud)."

Al-wadud means the one who loves abundantly; the greatest friend; the one who loves and is loved, i.e. Hazrat-i ism-i a`zam (the Lord Supreme Name), may his glory be glorified.

All the attributive names are gathered in the ism-i a`zam. Ism-i a`zam is with the true Lord (Mawla (May peace be through him)), may my soul be sacrificed for him. In fact, he himself is the ism-i a`zam and the substantive name, because this is the greatest secret of Ayatu'l-Kursi.

The wisdom-filled decree of the holy Qur'an is that the true Worshipped One is al-hayyu'l-qayyum and it is because of this that the Ayatu'l-Kursi is the chief of all Qur'anic verses.
