41:30

You should see in the Holy Quran how the friendship of angels is with the mumins. God says: "Those who have said: 'Our Lord is God', then have remained firm, upon them the angels descend, saying, 'Fear not, neither sorrow? Rejoice In Paradise that you were promised. We are your friends in the present life and in the world to come; therein you shall have all that your souls desire, all that you call for, as hospitality from One All-Forgiving, One All-Compassionate" (41:30-32). Here are mentioned the countless favours and mercies of God, in which there is no doubt for the believers.

Precious Treasures 2

Descent of Angels in the Personal World: That is, the actualization of the representative capacities of angels from a potential state in the personality of true mumins. This is the special ta'wili secret of the descent of angels. Now look at this verse of the Qur'an: "Verily those who say: Our Lord is Allah and then remain steadfast, the angels descend upon them, saying: Fear not, nor be grieved, and receive good news of Paradise which is promised to you. We are your friends in the life of this world and in the hereafter" (41:30-31). This is a description of the friends of Allah. Another bright example of this is that in every individual there are also angelic capacities together with innumerable other capacities.

Psalm of lovers 23

Angels as Helpers:

Argument 7: The verses (41:30-31) says: “Verily the angels descend on those who say: Our Lord is God, and then remain steadfast, saying: Do not fear, nor grieve, but hear good tidings of the Paradise which you are promised. We are your helpers in life of the world and in the Hereafter.”
These wisdom-filled verses reveal the reality that, by the command of God, the angles help and support the mumins. For God is the Absolute Sovereign and to accomplish the affairs of the universe, He has created means and for every matter one or more means are provided. He only commands and all physical and spiritual means work. Thus, for spiritual and physical help also, He has created means and whatever help is received from them is called God’s help. For the means of this help is indeed provided by Him.

Ya Ali Madad 12

The rank of the ear follows that of the eye. The way it works from the material world to the spiritual or supernatural world, is extremely amazing. It is the gate of the souls of creatures. It can hear the voice of angels (41:30). If the spiritual revolution of someone has taken place, what cannot he hear! If the light of God becomes the eye and the ear of a close servant of God, what cannot he see and what cannot he hear! In short, when the veil between is lifted or the wall demolished, the external and the internal senses unite and become one, and start to work for the construction and completion of the personal world on a large scale and thus the great treasures of knowledge and wisdom are obtained.

Glad tidings in any religion other than Islam, is something meaningless, whereas glad tidings for the faithful in the Qur’an is practical glad tidings in which is mentioned the meeting with the souls and angels and the attainment of the love of God in this life (41:30, 9:112). The same glad tidings is for those mu'mins also who observe the limits, namely the laws of religion. But God never loves those who transgress them (5:87).

Q79 It is certain that the personal resurrection is mentioned in verses (41:30-31), otherwise the descent of angels is not possible. Would you kindly explain the wisdom of these verses: “Those who said Allah is their Lord (in a true sense), then they [died spiritually and] revived, then the angels definitely descend upon them, [and tell them]: Do not fear nor grieve, but hear good tidings of the paradise which you are promised. We are your friends in the life of the world and in the Hereafter”.

A79 Indeed, it is the personal resurrection that is alluded to in these verses. The word ‘resurrection’ is hidden in “istaqamu”, which means they stood erect (i.e. they died spiritually and were revived).
