By the Name of Allah, the most Compassionate, the most Merciful.

Surah-yi Maryam (19:1): "Kaf, ha, ya, `ayn, sad".

Third ta'wil:
Kaf = kutubun qayyimatun (eternal scriptures, 98:3), i.e., Pearl of Intellect, al-nujum (the stars, 56:75);
Ha = hadin (Guide, 13:7);
Ya = yadu'llah (God's hand), i.e., Prophet(s)'s light (48:10), light of `Ali (a.s), light of the Imam of the time (the Sacred Sanctuary);
`Ayn = al-`Aliyyu'l-`Azim (the Sublime, the Magnificent), al-`Aliyyu'l-kabir (the Exalted, the Great);
Sad = saffan saffa (rank upon rank, 89:22), al-sa`iqah (lightning), salihu'l-mu'minin (most virtuous of the believers, 66:4), yusalli `alaykum (sends blessings on you, 33:43), al-sayhah (the sound of naqur) at 13 places [in the holy Qur'an], suhufan mutahharatan (purified pages, 98:2).
