Aliyy (That Book (2:2), i.e. the speaking Qur’an)

Mawla Ali says in his Khutbatu'l-bayan: "I am that Book in which there is no doubt. I am the beautiful names through which God has commanded to invoke Him (7:180)." (Kawkab, p. 200). There is no doubt that the great secret of the abridged letters, such as ALM is Ali. Thus, Mawla Ali is that Book in which there is nothing but certainty.

La rayba (There is no doubt, i.e. there is certainty)

In the beginning of the Surah of "Baqarah" (2), a great fundamental wisdom is hidden in the veil of tanzil (revelation): "Alif-Lam-Mim is that book in which there is no doubt." By this book is meant the speaking Qur'an, after entering the spiritual recognition of which, all the treasures of certainty are received, as Mawla Ali has said: "I am that Book in which there is no doubt." (Kawkab, p. 200).

Q75 What are the two things in the wise Qur’an about which it is said: “There is no doubt in it”? What does this mean, and what is the relationship between the two?

A75 Those two things are the Book (al-kitab, 2:2) and the Day of Resurrection (yawmi’l-qiyamah, 6:12). The meaning of “There is no doubt in it” is that it has cilmu’l-yaqin (the knowledge of certainty), caynu’l-yaqin (the eye of certainty) and haqqu’l-yaqin (the truth of certainty). By the Book in which there is no doubt is meant the asÀs and by the Day of Resurrection in which there is no doubt is Hazrat Qa’im(c) and the relationship between the two is crystal clear.

“ALM” is one of the numerous names of the light of Imᾱmat and it stands for the Book of certitude of truth (haqqu’l-yaqīn) as following it, God says: “That is the Book; there is no boubt in it” (2:2). It is obvious that the Book in which there is no boubt, there is only certitude, i.e. the knowledge of certitude, the eye of certitude and the truth of certitude, because in contrast to doubt is certitude, just as in contrast to darkness is light.
