Prayer (Salat), Tasblh and Prostration of Everything:

In this connection, the Holy Qur'an says that there is no creature and nothing, which does not pray or glorify God in its own way, as is said: "Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and tasbih (praise)." (24:41). See also verse (17:44) for the tasbih of everything and for their prostration, verses (13:15; 16:49; 22:18).

Spring Of knowledge 32

If there were no soul in mountains and other minerals, they would not have entered Hazrat Da'ud together with the world of particles. This also shows that the salat, tasbih and sajdah of everything to God, is in the world of particles (24:41; 17:44; 22:18). This extremely hidden secret should also be noted that the great miracle of "He makes everything speak" (41:21) also takes place in the world of particles.

Practical Sufism and Spiritual Science (46)

Q491 It is said in verse (24:41): “Everyone knows its salat and its tasbih.” See also verse (13:15): “And whoever is in the heavens and the earth prostrates to God willingly or unwillingly.” That is, there is nothing without salat, tasbih and prostration. If according to this universal formula, all rational and irrational beings serve God, why are punishment and reward related only to the rational beings?

A491

  • Servitude or cibadat of God is of two kinds: Subjugative (taskhiri) and willing (ikhtiyari). Will is granted only to rational beings.
  • The holy Qur’an speaks of tawcan (willingly) and karhan (unwillingly). Thus, when a mu’min prostrates to God, it is a willing prostration therefore it is rewarded, but the prostration of a tree is natural and subjugative, therefore it is not rewarded.
