40:15

The Throne (`arsh) - if someone annihilates himself in God, the Elevator of ranks and the Lord of the Throne (40:15), then he practically becomes like a ladder and benefits from the secrets of the treasure of the Throne.

Book of Healing (109)

Rafi (Exalter, exalted)

It is mentioned in verse (40:15): "The Exalter of ranks, the Lord of the Throne (carsh)." The wisdom of this verse is that the ladder of ranks goes up to the Throne. You should also study verses (70:1-4) carefully and note whether the rank of fana' fi'llah is on the supreme throne or on the earth? Is the heart of a believing servant not the throne of recognition?

Thousand Wisdoms 390 (212)

Rῡhu’llᾱh is also the title of Hazrat cῙsᾱ, but the fact is that all other great Prophets also have the same status, as the Qur’ᾱn says: “The Exalter of ranks, the Lord of the Throne. He casts the Spirit from His command upon whom He wills of His slaves, that He warn of the Day of meeting (i.e. Resurrection) (40:15)”.It is evident that this verse stands as an essential principal and as a necessary law regarding all the Prophets, which is that God, by casting the Spirit (rῡh) upon whom He wills of His servants, exalts his rank and makes him a Prophet so that he my warn his community of the Day of Resurrection. ’

Pir Nasir-i Khusraw and Spirituality (32)

In the Holy Qur’an the way in which rank and ranks are mentioned is a reference to the hudud-i din for as it says: "The Exalter of ranks, the Lord of the Throne. He casts the spirit by His command to whosoever He wills of His servants that He may warn of the day of meeting." (40:15). That is, God exalts the hudud-i din and through them, others.
Wisdom 1.When Allah wants to exalt someone He does so through the ladder of the fixed steps. For this is the right path and the ladder which is raised up to the roof of the Throne in order to reach the Lord of the Throne.
Wisdom 2. Through this ladder descends the living soul of revelation to the Prophets and it is through this ladder that the Holy Prophet ascended and attained the honour of the special micraj.
Wisdom 3. There is not a thing but its treasures are with God, and the things which descend from these Divine treasures, do so through this ladder.
Wisdom 4. When one of the great and wisdom-filled names of God is "the Lord of the ladders" then there must be a systematic concept and explanation of this in the Qur’an (which contains the explanation of everything, 16:89).

Fruits of Paradise (73)

Q115 What is the relationship of ranks with the Throne in verse (40:15): “[God] is the Exalter of ranks and the Lord of the Throne”?

A115 The relationship is that whomever God wills, He raises him up to the Throne and He can also give him the rank of the Throne or its bearer, because the Throne is His creature.
