EXPLORE Q-WIKI: A SEARCH ENGINE BUILT FOR TA'WĪL

Select any Qur’ānic verse, and we’ll show you an array of excerpts from a myriad of Ismā’īlī works explaining the ta’wīl of that verse.
Q-Wiki is a proprietary search engine built and owned solely by ISWLS.

THE QUR’ĀN PROJECT

Taking a step back from our usual focus on esoteric exegesis, ISWLS provides here a series of useful documents collating references to the Qur’ān in the Qur’ān itself, aḥadīth, gināns, Ismāʿīlī poetry, the sayings of various Imāms, the farāmīn of Imāms Sulṭān Muḥammad Shāh and Shāh Karīm al-Ḥusaynī, as well as his interviews and speeches. The purpose of this series is to assist those undertaking research into the holy Qur’ān.

QUR’ĀN CORPUS

One of the most dangerous inaccuracies in Qur’ānic translation occur when the translator adjusts the translation, however slightly, to better suit their personal beliefs. This is why, along with a basic understanding of Arabic grammar, it is also imperative to have multiple translations at hand for both academic research and self-study. Qur’ān corpus is a useful tool that provides multiple translations for any given verse. Please note that Qur’ān corpus is not owned by ISWLS, but is simply a useful tool that we recommend to accompany our own research products.
