Approximately fourteen hundred years ago, during the revelation of the Quraan, alluding to the physical and spiritual revelation, it was said that the tawil of the Quraan is going to come in the future (7:52-53). This means the tawil of the Quraan which was confined to some higher ranks, will be common to all. Thus in this regard, it is my firm conviction that just as there is a storm of material progress in the present age, a great revolution has also come in spritulity and that is the tawil. Now, looking at verses (7:52-53) tell us what should we do in this respect? You will definitely say that whenever and wherever the tawil may be, it is wisdom and abundant good (2:269), to accept it with gratitude and appreciation, and the proof of the ever-lasting glories of the Quraan And Islam.
Q74 In verses (7:52-53) God says: “And We have brought to them a Book that we have well distinguished, based on (a special) knowledge, a guidance and a mercy unto a people that believe. Do they look for aught else but its ta’wil (resurrection)? The day its ta’wil comes, those who before forgot it shall say: Indeed, our Lord’s Messengers came with the truth”. Does this mean that the luminous ta’wil of the Qur’an is itself the resurrection?
