Ta'wil (Esoteric meaning)
The following verse (7:53) is: "Do they wait for anything but its ta'wil?" Since the Book (the Qur'an) is mentioned in the preceding verse, therefore, in its ta'wil (ta'wilahu) the pronoun refers to the Qur'an. Thus, the practical and final ta'wil of the wise Qur’an is the great resurrection, the physical aspect of which is the scientific revolution and the spiritual aspect is the spiritual revolution.
Ta'wil (Esoteric wisdom)
"The day its ta'wil comes, those who were previously forgetful of it will say: Indeed, the Messengers of our Lord brought the truth (haqq)." (7:53). By the haqq (truth) is meant the walayat of cAli. Thus, those who had forgotten the ta'wil and the custodian of ta'wil, namely Hazrat cAli, will feel great remorse. (al-haqq=walayat of cAli, see Sharh, II, 237; al-Mustadrak (in which is mentioned that the truth is with cAli), III, 135).
Ta'wil (The ta’wil of the Qur’an)
In verse (7:53) after mentioning the holy Qur’an, it is said: "Do they wait for anything but its ta'wil (which will come in the form of resurrection)." This verse shows that the collective and general ta'wil is going to come in the form of a collective resurrection.
Dhu’l-faqar (Name of sword)
On the day of the battle of Uhud, someone called out from the heaven: "La fata illa cAliyyun wa la sayfa illa Dhu’l-faqar" (There is no valiant one like cAli and there is no sword like Dhul-faqar).
Question: Where are the valour of cAli and the stroke of Dhu’l-faqar now?
Answer: In the light of the Qur’an and the Hadith it has been evident that in the beginning there was the need for the battle of tanzil, which was a symbol and parable of the battle of ta'wil. However, since according to the Divine Will the age of ta'wil has started, the cAli of the time uses the Dhu’l-faqar of ta'wili
wisdom, which is not limited like the iron Dhu'l-faqar, but is all-inclusive and universal. (For the age of ta'wil see verses 7:53; 10:39).

- Its other name is resurrection. Resurrection, namely ta’wil has come time and again spiritually, but the ta’wil or qiyamat of this time is extremely effective and universal and it is because of this that the scientific revolution has taken place.
- Scientific marvels and wonders are those signs (ayat) of Divine power that are prophesied and are promised to be shown in the verse of afaq and anfus (41:53).
