3:26

related refs 67:1, 36:83, 3:27

There is an extremely great treasure of wonders and marvels of knowledge and recognition in the verse (3:26-27). You should try and make both the letter and spirit of it a part of yourself. That is, you should recite it as a prayer with an understanding of its deep wisdom. The clear meaning of it is that, by the command of God, both the worlds (the world of creation and the world of command) come into existence from each other continuously, without any priority and posteriority, an example of which is given in the diagram overleaf.

Khayr (Opposite of evil, good, good deed)

O my dear! In reality, the entire Qur'an is an account of spiritual and intellectual marvels and wonders. A magnificent example of this is that during the individual resurrection in the personal world, after passing many stages, one comes to the destination of Intellect where the annihilation of the world is observed. That is, God enfolds the universe. In this state, let alone the good, even the evil turns into the good in the hand of God. This is an exegesis and ta'wil of verse (3:26): "In your hand is the good."

Thousand Wisdoms 326 (174)

What does not exist in the Hand of God! There is everthing in His Hand. In His wisdom-filled fist, all things have together become a Monoreality. Monoreality has countless names. One of them is “Khayr (Good)” (3:26). Thus the mu'min who is the well-wisher of people in the light of knowledge, will be granted “khayr” by God with His blessed Hand, in which lies the spiritual kingdom and he will be protected from the numerous diseases of ill-will.

Book of Healing (216)

According to the above explanation, wisdom is that universal good which is in the Hand of God (3:26) and whatever is in the blessed hand of God, what can it not be! It is both mulk (physical kingdom, 67:1) and malakut (spiritual kingdom, 36:83). Thus undoubtedly, one end of Qur'Ànic wisdom is in the Hand of God and the other is in the Qur’an, so that He, the Knowing, the Wise, may grant wisdom to and confer His favours on whoever He wants.

Book of Healing (265)

Khayr-I Kull (Universal Good): The Qur’an says: “In Your hand is all good.” (3:26). When God with His hand folds the entire universe and holds it, all evil comes to an end, and with good in the hand of God, all things also become good. Thus it is now the Pearl and the quintessence of the universe, from which universe was first created. It is this which is the Pearl of Intellect and which is the Universal Good.
